Wave, the portable UVC sanitizing device fighting germs and viruses in the pandemic era, win the European Product Design Award 2021.

The impact of the coronavirus on our lives has been undeniable. The past years have seen a rapid change in our daily routines, and life as we knew it will never be the same. At the beginning of the pandemic, our client was on holiday in Europe and contracted a severe case of Covid-19. Fortunately, he eventually managed to recover. Nonetheless upon returning to the US, he decided to make something positive out of his experience. Hence, he asked our team to develop a device that could improve our safety.

While the world faced one of the most impactful eras ever, we saw the need for a portable and effective sanitizing solution beyond sanitizing gels. Thanks to targeted research and brainstorming, we devised an idea that could change the rules of disinfecting. Wave is the first portable UV-C germicidal sanitizing device that attaches to the back of your phone. Users are guided via the app through the sanitation process, to kill up to 97% of viruses, germs, and bacteria in under one minute from any surface. We designed and developed it to provide every single person with a safety tool. You can use to help fight the pandemic and the more than 60,000 germs we face every day.

The innovative device has been recognized for its innovation by global design magazines such as Gadgetgram, and Yanko Design. To cap off the success of the project, Fuso Design won the prestigious EPDA 2021 for its groundbreaking product. This is a significant achievement for our company, demonstrating our commitment to innovation. Additionally, it states our ability to deliver products that make a real difference in people’s lives.
